These maps show the progression of the project as it morphed from one iteration to another.
The original proposal that Kiri and I submitted in February 2022. It was designed for GRA Maintained roads only and all fuel breaks were to be 75' wide for a total of 220 acres.
CalFire contacted us in March and said that the project was too big and we'd need to reduce the size. We submitted the March 2022 map after reducing all the project areas that were not on ridgetops to 50' wide each side of the road for a total of 156 acres.
This is the project as I submitted it in January 2023 and which was approved by CalFire as submitted for a total of 179 acres. Besides projects along the GRA Maintained roads, I also added some private roads.
This is the first amendment to the January 2023 project, amended in January 2024 due to a landowner wishing to do the work himself. Also, a couple of significant errors were discovered and corrected. More project area along private roads was included to make up the difference and keep the project at 179 acres.
This is the second amended version due to a second landowner wishing not to participate. Even more project area along private roads is included as well as areas along Orr Springs Rd to keep the project at 179 acres.
